The story of Early Spring
For a thousand years Luoyang has been China's peony capital. In blooming season the whole city went out to see the flowers — practically a public holiday.
This is the smallest Luoyang peony in the collection, its layered petals pinched one by one at an artisan's fingertips. Early spring, pocket-sized: enough for a bookshelf corner or a windowsill.
