The story of High Spring
Around late April, Luoyang's peonies reach full flower, heads heavy enough to bend the branch. Growers say the bloom is 'fully open' — no suspense left, only certainty.
The medium peony holds that certainty: more layers of petals, a gypsum base with real weight. Set it down and the corner settles. Among its nine colours is a rare celadon blue.
